Stateless Overseas Chinese and the victims of human trafficking are suffering; the problem was they do not have the health insurance which attracts the lawmakers attention and concerned. Today, KMT lawmaker (鄭麗文) Zheng Li-Wen scheduled press conference to appeal to the government that these people which has been staying here in Taiwan for such long-time should be provided a health insurance.
Let them acquire the basic medical insurance(醫療保障), Nevertheless the Immigrant bureau official is not willing to agree and just stress that they will discuss this with Council of Labor affairs.
Zheng Li -Wen (鄭麗文) questioned the foreign labor that after 4 months obtaining the residence certificate can they have the health insurance? The Government should give these people the human rights
About Lawmaker’s suggestion and council of labor affairs Zhao Won-Hui
(趙文徽) opinion, the victims of human trafficking which was injured should acquire the health insurance with this they could also assist the Taiwan government to investigate and with the human trafficking.
However, Immigrant bureau official (Vice Superintendent) Mr. Ho Rong-Chun (何榮村) stress that it will take some time to see the progress, however they will set another meeting by next month to discuss about the problem of “Stateless Overseas Chinese to include in National Health Insurance.
